The highly anticipated Odyssey Neo G9 from Samsung will be available in October at an eye-watering $2,500. The monitor was first unveiled in January, and Samsung has been showing off its top display ever since.
The revelation of the release date and pricing coincides with this week's Gamescom, and comes just a few months after Samsung began reservations for the Odyssey Neo G9. According to Samsung's press release, the monitor will be available in October for purchase directly from Samsung or "at select U.S. retailers." The monitor's exact arrival date has yet to be verified by Samsung.
If you're not aware with the Odyssey Neo G9, it's a twin UHD monitor that was formerly marketed as the world's "first 8K ultrawide" gaming monitor. In reality, the resolution is half that of true 8K. The Odyssey Neo G9 is the equivalent of squeezing two 4K monitors together.
